My name is Amoké Ocean, I am a certified postpartum doula. I provide postpartum doula services for families in the Raleigh-Durham area. As a postpartum doula, I can assist with your transition home with your newborn baby. It brings me great joy to be in a position to help families bring a new little life into the world. I have always love children and it makes me happy to take care of them. Supporting families is a humbling and sacred space to be invited into.
What is a postpartum doula?
Postpartum doula services are provided by trained professionals who offer support and assistance to new parents in the postpartum period, typically in the weeks or months following the birth of a child. These services are focused on helping parents adjust to the challenges of caring for a newborn and adapting to their new roles. Postpartum doulas offer practical help with tasks such as infant care, feeding, and household chores, as well as emotional support, guidance, and information on baby care and postpartum recovery. Their goal is to ensure that parents have a smoother transition into parenthood, feel more confident in their caregiving abilities, and have the opportunity to rest and recover during this important time.

I work with your schedule. Once you book a package, you choose the day/times and the services needed. Day services must be scheduled for a minimum of 4 hours. Overnight services must be a minimum of 8 hours.
I can only take on a limited amount of clients so be sure to choose the package that allows you to reserve the full amount of hours that you need as availability for subsequent packages may not be guaranteed.
